Terms of service
Last updated: July 2026
Acceptance
By accessing or using Readmify, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.
Readmify is operated by Poletto 1976 S.L.U., Plaza del Congreso Eucarístico, 2, 2-D, 03201 Elche (Alicante), Spain. Contact: info@poletto.es.
What Readmify does
Readmify connects to your GitHub and Bitbucket repositories and uses AI to automatically generate and update documentation when you push code. You retain full ownership of your code and of any documentation generated from it.
Your responsibilities
By using Readmify you agree to:
- Only connect repositories you own or have permission to document
- Keep your AI provider API key confidential and not share it
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service
- Comply with the terms of service of your chosen AI provider (Groq, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or others)
- Comply with the terms of service of your VCS provider (GitHub or Bitbucket)
AI-generated content
Documentation is generated automatically by the AI model you configure. Readmify does not review, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of generated content. You are responsible for reviewing documentation before publishing or sharing it.
Generated content is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Always verify technical documentation against your actual code.
API keys
You provide your own API key for the AI provider of your choice. Your key is stored encrypted and is used solely to call the AI provider on your behalf when generating documentation. You are responsible for any usage costs incurred with your provider.
Repository access
GitHub: The Readmify GitHub App accesses only the repositories you explicitly authorize. You can revoke access at any time from your GitHub settings. Revoking access will stop documentation generation but will not delete previously generated docs from our database unless you request it.
Bitbucket: When you connect Bitbucket, Readmify stores your OAuth tokens to access repositories on your behalf. You can disconnect Bitbucket at any time from the Readmify settings page. Disconnecting will stop documentation generation for Bitbucket repositories but will not delete previously generated docs unless you request it.
Service availability
Readmify is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime or continuous availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice.
Donations
Donations to support Readmify are entirely voluntary and do not confer any additional rights, features, or service level guarantees. Payments are processed by Stripe Inc. and are generally non-refundable unless required by applicable law. An invoice will be issued by Poletto 1976 S.L.U. upon request or automatically when billing information is provided at checkout.
Intellectual property
GitHub, Bitbucket, Atlassian, Groq, Anthropic, and OpenAI are trademarks of their respective owners. Readmify is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these companies. Your code and generated documentation remain your intellectual property.
Limitation of liability
Readmify is not liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from the use of the service, including but not limited to inaccurate documentation, data loss, or API costs. Use the service at your own risk.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via the email address associated with their account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law and, where applicable, EU consumer law. Any disputes arising from the use of Readmify shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Elche (Alicante), Spain, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in your country of residence.
